George tax consultant in court for 419 scam

 A George tax consultant accused of being behind the so-called 419 letter scam will appear in court on Friday.

The George Herald reports on its website that Kevin Clyde van der Walt will be sentenced in terms of a plea agreement and this will include jail time and rehabilitation.

Van Der Walt was accused of causing potential and actual losses of millions of rands through the 419 scam.

He was arrested in Wildernis in June.
