A man from Conville in George is due to appear in court today on a charge of murder.
This follows the discovery of the body of 49-year-old Maria Hendricks this week, after her family reported her missing.
Police spokesperson, Captain Bernadine Steyn, says the 43-year-old suspect was arrested on Tuesday.
She says the two were last seen together on Saturday.
Steyn says Hendricks had no visible open wounds and a post mortem will determine the cause of death.
