A suspect has been arrested in George in connection with the creation and possession of child pornography.
Captain Bernadine Steyn says the Family Violence, Child Protection and Sexual Offences Unit based in George arrested a 40-year old man at his house in the town on Thursday.
Steyn says police executed the arrest after first obtaining an arrest warrant from the George Magistrates' court following an intensive investigation into the matter.
Its alleged that between 2012 and 2014 children would sleep over from time to time at his house while visiting his 12-year old daughter.
During these visits, the suspect allegedly administered pills to the children, including his daughter, which rendered them unconscious.
Its also alleged that he took naked photos of the children, raped and sexually assaulted them.
Steyn says at this stage, the number of juvenile victims stands at seven.
