George detectives are appealing for help in tracking down a man who shot a woman during a business robbery on Thursday afternoon.
Police spokesperson, captain Bernadine Steyn, says the man entered the shop in Blanco on the R-102 and the 64-year-old woman in the leg.
She says the man took the cash register containing an undisclosed amount of money and fled the scene on foot.
The victim was taken to a hospital in George and is in a stable condition.
Steyn appealed to anyone who may have information on the case to call their nearest police station.
