 Southern Cape police have confirmed that a third person has died following a three car pile-up on the George airport road.

Police spokesperson, Captain Malcolm Pojie, says a man who was injured in one of two cars involved in a head-on collission died yesterday afternoon.

Two women were killed and the driver of the second vehicle injured in the accident on the R102.

The driver of a third car who crashed into the initial accident scene was also injured.

The names of the deceased have not yet been released.
