Motorcyclists in the Southern Cape are getting ready for the annual Whale Rally which will take place in Hartenbos this year.
The event is scheduled to take place from the 5th to the 7th of June.
The popular rally originated in 2005 and was held annually in Plettenberg Bay. The event is exclusively for
motorcyclists and up to 1500 bikers are expected. According to the organisers of the Whale Rally, bikers from the Western and Eastern Cape are expected as are visitors from Gauteng and Bloemfontein.
In the past, motorcyclists from as far afield as Germany and Canada have participated in the rally. All proceeds from the Whale rally will be donated to various charities in the Garden Route.
