Fourteen arrested after protest in EL

 East London police have arrested 14 people on charges of public violence.

This follows Monday's service delivery protest on the Zipoonzana by-pass at Duncan Village.

Residents blockaded the road with concrete blocks and other barricades.

Police say the situation is under control and the road has been opened to traffic.

The protestors are expected to appear in court on Monday.
