Four people have been killed in a horror smash on the N2 near Storms River.
Ncedo Kumbaca of the Eastern Cape Transport Department says the accident happened late on Monday.
According to police a tow truck travelling from Cape Town in the direction of Port Elizabeth clipped the back of a Sedan driving in front of them, when the driver allegedly swerved out into oncoming traffic. The tow-truck then collided head on with a small Kia truck.
One passenger at the back and three in the front died on impact.
The man and woman in the tow truck sustained serious injuries and were taken to hospital.
Police says the lady driving the Sedan was not injured. She is from St Francis Bay and was fetched by family members.
A culpable homicide docket has been opened.
