Four men have been gunned down at the offices of Mdantsane's Taxi association on Qumza Highway.
The incident happened on Wednesday afternoon.
Police spokesperson Brigadier Thembinkosi Kinana says three of the victims were busy inside the office when they were killed while a fourth victim is believed to be a bystander.
He says the incident is believed to be taxi-related.
Two firearms were recovered at the scene but the ownership of the weapons has not yet been determined.
Police have activated their 72-hour activation plan to bring those responsible to book.
The victims were aged between 30-45.
Meanwhile, Eastern Cape Transport Safety and Liaison MEC Weziwe Tikana-Gxothiwe has challenged the Police, roleplayers in the taxi industry and communities at large to work together to bring the perpetrators to book.
She's also challenged the entire criminal justice system to work together in ensuring a successful prosecution and sentence of those responsible for the attack.
