Gqeberha police are investigating cases of culpable homicide after four people were killed in two separate accidents on Sunday morning.
Spokesperson, Captain Gerda Swart says in the first incident in the early hours, a Volvo truck with two trailers was traveling down Addo Road in Markman when a silver VW Polo collided with the back trailer.
She says the driver and his two passengers were killed on impact.
In the second incident at around 7am, police were notified of an unknown man lying on the M19.
Captain Swart says it is alleged that a vehicle had struck the pedestrian without stopping at the scene.
She says the unidentified man in his 30's was declared dead at the scene.
The victim was clad in a red T-shirt, navy and black windbreaker jacket, white and navy blue striped trousers, white wool gloves, and white Nike sneakers.
