Four killed in another mass shooting in Nelson Mandela Bay

File

Police are investigating the shooting of four people whose bodies were found in a shack in the back of a house in Kwadwesi in Gqeberha.

Spokesperson, Colonel Priscilla Naidu, said the grim discovery was made last night in Sikhundla Street.

She said a fifth person, who had just been dropped off by a friend when they heard gunshots, was also wounded in a separate shooting, but on the same street.

Naidu said the wounded man was rushed to a hospital with bullet wounds to the arm and chest after two men forced their way into his house.

Meanwhile, the bodies of three men and a woman were found in a shack at the back of another house also in Sikhundla Street.

Naidu said the victims were aged between 19 and 24, and they all had gunshot wounds.

Their names will be released after a formal identification has been done.

Police said the same suspects are believed to have been involved in both incidents, while the motive behind the two shootings, is not yet known.

Anyone who can assist with any information relating to the suspects is asked to contact D/Capt Monde Sitole on 082 457 2812 or Crime Stop on 08600 10111 or the nearest police station.
