Four people were killed and two were critical injured in an accident on the N2 near eMaxesibeni, formerly Mount Ayliff, in the Eastern Cape on Saturday.
Provincial Transport Department spokesperson, Unathi Binqose says a Toyota Corolla with three men and two women were traveling from Kokstad when it collided with a Toyota Quantum with only the driver.
He says two men and two women from the Corolla were declared dead at the scene.
The minibus driver and a man from the sedan sustained serious injuries and were taken to Mount Ayliff provincial hospital.
The cause of the accident is not known and police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
