Four people are due to appear in court in Gqeberha on Monday for a shooting incident in Motherwell that left two women dead, and two others wounded.
The breakthrough was reported this weekend following Wednesday’s shooting in Dyakalashe Street in Unit 12.
Lieutenant-Colonel Siphokazi Mawisa said the arrests were made following tireless work by the Provincial Serious and Violent Crimes Unit in Gqeberha and SAPS Motherwell detectives.
She said a 27-year-old woman was among the four arrested in Motherwell, Zwide, and Joe Slovo.
Meanwhile, Mawisa identified the two female victims of last Wednesday’s shooting as Yandisa Mabuto (47) and Thembekiza Manyashe (40).
The four suspects will appear in the Motherwell magistrate court on charges that will include murder and attempted murder.
