A 20 year old Malawian Student will appear in court on Monday on a charge of perjury.
Police Spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says they were called out to his residence in the early hours of Friday morning after he laid a charge of housebreaking.
The student told police his cellphone and tablet wat stolen, however there were no signs of a break-in on the property.
Police questioned the student for several hours before eventually arresting him on a charge of perjury.
Janse van Rensburg warned to public to not make false claims to the police as they will be prosecuted.
Meanwhile police in Mount Road arrested three Tanzanians for the alleged possession of drugs and stolen goods.
Janse van Rensburg says they spotted a suspicious vehicle in a parking lot off Cape Road and investigated.
Police found 500 grams of dagga in the car and arrested the two occupants.
They tracked down the owner of the car at his house in North End where he was caught red handed throwing drugs out a window.
Police confiscated 8kg of dagga, cash, several cellphones and electronic equipment
