Four escaped lions back at Mossel Bay reserve

Four lions that escaped from the Gondwana Game Reserve outside Mossel Bay are back on the reserve.

That's the word from general manager, Neil Davison.

He told Algoa FM News a short while ago that one lioness is still outstanding, even though they believe she may have died as a result of injuries sustained while getting out of the reserve through a hole in the fence.

Davison says the hole in the fence may have been caused by porcupines or small animals.

"We do have the lions back on the reserve. We are searching for one lioness. We are confident that the others are all safely on the reserve. We know of possibly two or three cattle that they could have taken out on our fence line just outside the reserve" he said
