Four Eastern Cape learners killed in car accident

 Four school children were killed, and 9 were seriously injured, in an accident on the R61 near Libode in the Eastern Cape on Thursday morning.

Police spokesperson, Warrant Officer Dinco Koena says a bakkie was underway from Matholengwe Senior Secondry School, when the driver lost control of the vehicle around a bend.

The injured learners were rushed to the Nelson Mandela Academic Hospital in Mthatha in a critical condition.
