Eastern Cape police have announced a breakthrough in a triple murder in the Ndlunkulu Village.
Provincial police spokesperson, Brigadier Marinda Mills, says a massive manhunt resulted in the arrest of four suspects hiding out in dense bushes in the vicinity of Ndlunkulu village in the Dalasile policing area.
This followed the discovery of the bodies of two elderly women and man on Monday morning in what police said was a witch-craft related killing.
Mills said police had a large contingent of members from the mounted unit, public order police unit, K-9 and mounted units involved in the hunt for the suspects.
She said three of the four arrested are related to the victims and they will appear in court soon.
"The Provincial Commissioner General Binta thanked the police operation team for their efforts, they worked around the clock and ensured arrests within 24 hours after the incident was reported to the police. What actually happened is that we had so many resources and members in that area, that they actually formed a net that started slowly closing in onto the suspects, that they had no choice but to hand themselves over to the police."
