Four arrested for robbery in Uitenhage supermarket

Uitenhage police have arrested four people and recovered stolen goods including two unlicensed firearms.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Majola Nkholi, says goods were stolen during a robbery at a supermarket in Ponana Tini Road in Kwanobuhle on Thursday.

He says the arrests were made some four hours afterwards.

Nkholi says a bakkie used in the robbery was also recovered.

He says the suspects aged between 21 and 36, will appear in court on Monday.
