Three people have been arrested in Mthatha for being in possession of dagga.
Eastern Cape police spokesperson, Lieutenant. Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela says two men and a woman were caught with 23 kilograms on Monday morning.
He says the dagga has a street value of R23 000.
The suspects will appear in the Ngqeleni Magistrate's Court once they are formally charged.
Meanwhile a 57 year old man has been arrested in Elliotdale for being in possession of 12 kilograms of dagga.
Police spokesperson, Major Zamukulungisa Jozana says the suspect was arrested during an operation conducted by Kwaaiman Police at the weekend.
The man will appear in court on Monday.
