A former Port Elizabeth community radio presenter will appear in the St Albans court on Tuesday for allegedly being in possession of suspected stolen property.
Police spokesperson, Capt. Johan Rheeder says the suspect and two others entered the building site at Bay West Mall outside the city last night, and loaded steel to the value of R10-thousand on a bakkie.
He says a security guard became suspicious and contacted the site manager.
Rheeder says when the manager arrived at the scene, two of the suspects ran away.
He says the remaining suspect could not explain why the steel was loaded onto the vehicle.
He fled the scene in the bakkie, but was later pulled over by police in Samantha Way and arrested.
The DJ's name is being withheld until his court appearance.
