Former PE gang cop back in court Tuesday

A former member of the Port Elizabeth gang task team is expected to back in court on Tuesday.

Alicia Beeming is charged with defeating the ends of justice.

The state alleges that she hadkept mum on the whereabouts of a notorious gangster who, at the time, was hersecret lover.

Beeming was a member of thepolice Gang Task Team unit between April 2014 and March 2015.

She was also a specialist investigator in respect of gang activities in Port Elizabeth’s northern areas.
