The former mayor of Nelson Mandela Bay, Mongameli Bobani, will be laid to rest on Friday morning. The UDM Councillor passed away in St George's hospital on Wednesday last week after a three-week-long battle against covid-19.
The Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality announced this afternoon that Bobani's funeral will be held at the Feather Market Centre from ten am tomorrow with a maximum of 100 people allowed inside the venue.
UDM leader Bantu Holomisa has confirmed that he will be coming to Port Elizabeth for the funeral.
Residents will also get an opportunity to watch the funeral proceedings on the Metro's Facebook page.
