Forensic analyst testifies in Ndudula murder case in EL High Court

A police forensic analyst took the stand in the East London High Court on Monday in the trial of Bulelwa Ndudula, who is accused of killing her public servant husband, Sakekile in 2016.

He died after being shot eight times at the couple's Cambridge West home.

Noneka Gogela, who has worked at the SAPS forensic laboratory for the past decade, testified about the gunshot residue that she found on the jacket worn by Bulelwa Ndudula on the day that her husband was killed.

She told the court that given the amount of residue found on the jacket, it was unlikely that this could have been transferred on to her by her husband during the incident.

Gogela said it was either Ndudula who fired the shot herself or she was within a two metre radius of the shooter.

Bulelwa Ndudula who has been out on bail since her arrest in 2016 appeared to be very calm and relaxed outside the court as she was posed for the media to take her picture.

The trial continues for the rest of the week.
