The bail application of a foreign national, accused of several sexual crimes against young Plettenberg Bay girls, has been delayed in the town's Magistrate's Court.
The 38-year-old suspect from Ghana, who cannot be named until he has pleaded, was set to continue his bail bid, which started on October 2, but the matter was postponed until Thursday next week for his lawyer, Carl Jeppe to confirm an address for the accused, should he be granted bail.
The man was arrested by members of the George family violence, child protection and sexual offences unit at his home in Kwanokuthula in September, after allegedly committing several offences involving four young girls between the ages of seven and 11.
The incidents allegedly took place between August and September this year.
During his bail application it came to light that he allegedly lured the young girls to his home with promises of cookies and other treats before attempting to perform sexual acts with them.
After his arrest, possession of drugs was added to the charges and he was also allegedly in contravention of South Africa's immigration regulations.
He remains in custody until his next appearance on 22 October.
