Foreign national dies as container shop is torched in EL

East London police are investigating the killing of a foreign national at Kwelera on Wednesday after his container shop was torched while he was inside.

Police spokesperson, Captain Mluleki Mbi, said they are investigating a case of murder and arson.

He said the assailants used tyres, petrol and a gas cylinder to start to the blaze.

Mbi said the identity of the victim, who was believed to be in his late twenties, is not yet known.

He also said the motive for the brutal murder is still unknown.
