A 33-year-old woman who was found in possession of stolen property from a burglary at the Fish River Sun Resort is expected to apply for bail on Wednesday.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says Funeka Xawuka briefly appeared in the Peddie Magistrates court on Tuesday where the matter was postponed.
She says thieves stole nearly everything, including stoves, fridges and TVs in every single room at the resort as well as all the computers in the offices.
Colonel Naidu says the damage incurred is estimated to be millions of rands.
She also urged second-hand dealers and members of the community to be observant when approached to purchase stolen goods, which is also a crime.
The company that is managing the resort has since placed a security guard at the premises.
Police expect to make further arrests.
