Port Elizabeth fire fighters were called in to action this morning to contain a fire that broke at a popular beach-front establishment.
Municipality spokesperson, Kupido Baron, says the call-out was received shortly after 5am and that Captains Bar and Grill was well alight when fire-fighters arrived.
He says everything inside Captain's was completely destroyed.
Baron says The Surf Shop, Godwana, La Fiesta, and a Fish and Chips shop suffered smoke damage.
He says three fire engines and 26 personnel attended to the scene and the fire was extinguished by 8.22.
The cause of the fire is still not known and no on was injured.
