A 5th suspect is in custody for the murder of 17-year-old Port Elizabeth teenager Curtly Alexander.
His body was found lying in the parking lot at Hobie Beach in Summerstrand at 04h45 on Sunday morning.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu says Alexander had sustained a fatal stab wound to the chest.
Swift investigation by members of the Humewood Trio Task Team then led to the arrest of four teenagers.
Acting on information received, three teenagers from Arcadia in Bethelsdorp were arrested at their houses shortly before 2 pm while the fourth suspect (also from Arcadia) was brought to the police station by his mother.
Colonel Naidu says a 5th suspect, aged 18, handed himself to police later in the afternoon.
The suspects are aged between 16 and 18 years old and are being detained at Nerina House and the Humewood police station respectively.
Colonel Naidu says the two 16-year-old suspects will appear in court on Monday while the other three will appear on Tuesday - all on a charge of murder.
