The number of passengers arriving at, or departing from Port Elizabeth Airport, continued to decline in October.
According to figures released by the Airports Company of South Africa, the number of passengers handled by the airport dropped by 4.4% between September and October from 760 000 to 727-thousand.
The same pattern is evident at the East London Airport, although the decrease in the number of passengers has been slower.
In October, 397 000 passengers used the airport, which was just 0.2% fewer than the previous month.
The number of scheduled flights arriving and departing from both airports has, however, increased.
