Eastern Cape police have released the names of the father and son who were trampled to death by wildebeest on a game farm on Saturday.
Police spokesperson, captain Ursula Roelofse, says they were Michael Moore and his son John.
No further details were immediately available.
She said they had taken a short-cut across a farm to go an visit friends near Barkley-East when they came across a herd of wildebeest.
Roelofse says the two were stormed by the animals and trampled to death.
Police have opened an inquest docket.
