A resident from Sedgefield is due to appear in the Thembalethu Magistrate's Court at George on Thursday for a formal bail application in connection with a fake holiday rental scam that she allegedly operated in the Garden Route.
The 32-year-old suspect, Marianne Roux, made her first court appearance on the 21st of June after she was arrested at her home on charges of theft.
Roux has been in custody ever since.
Police Spokesperson Captain Malcolm Pojie says it is alleged that Roux acted as a travel agent who conned holidaymakers and accommodation establishments out of thousands of rand.
He says Roux, who ran her "business" on Facebook, defrauded people by asking them for deposits which she would then pocket.
Pojie says she operated throughout the Southern Cape.
Thirteen of her alleged victims have already come forward with some from as far as Kempton Park, Belville, Lephalale and Cape Town.
Police believe that several other people might also have been conned by Roux.
