The Hawks' Commercial Crime unit in Port Elizabeth is searching for a woman who failed to appear in court for sentencing.In a statement the Hawks said that Madeleine Lombaard, who also goes by the surname, Bester or Kruger, had pleaded guilty to defrauding a person of 200 thousand rand.
Lombaard, who masqueraded as a financial advisor, was released on bail pending sentencing on the 17th of April.She allegedly received the money from a victim under false pretenses that she was going to invest the cash.
The Hawks are now appealing to anyone who may know her whereabouts to contact the police.
