Four suspects appeared in the Qumbu Magistrate’s court on Monday in connection with the murder of 51-year-old Nosipho Sidabuka.
NPA regional spokesperson Luxolo Tyali says the accused are the 55-year-old Danisile Bhotyumpha the 39-year-old Lindiwe Komanisi-Jombile and the 41-year-old Sibongile Komanisi.
They are charged with murder, attempted murder, as all as illegal possession of firearm and ammunition.
The fourth accused is a 52-year-old policeman Pindile Jombile, who is also the deceased’s ex-husband.
Sidabuka was kidnapped on the 11th of June after a vehicle with Durban number plates pulled her over near the Tsitsa Bridge.
Her body was found a few days later at the Qangu locality
She was strangled and had a bullet wound to her upper body.
Her son, who was with her at the time, was also injured during the attack.
The matter was postponed to the 9th of July for profiling and a bail application.
