Energy Minister, Dipuo Peter, will be visiting the Kouga Red Cap Wind Farm project in the Kouga Municipality on Friday.
Her visit to the Eastern Cape forms part of government's implementation of the Integrated Resources Plan which will see the roll-out of renewable energy projects countrywide.
The 32-turbine Red Cap Kouga Wind Farm is scheduled to go operational in the final quarter of next year and will generate 80 megawatts of renewable power.
Minister Peter's visit to the Kouga district follows her visit on Thursday to the Metrowind Van Staden's Wind farm under construction at Blue Horizon Bay on the outskirts of Nelson Mandela Bay.
"It is actually very exciting for me,because I also arrive here at a time when the renewable energy IPP programme of South Africa has been declared as the green infrastructure project of the year by the green infrastructure leadership forum of the US and we contested with Colombia and many other countries" Peters said.
