Police have arrested three people inside a retail store at Nonesi Mall in Komani for allegedly using fraudulent cards.
Spokesperson Captain Namhla Mdleleni says members were patrolling the Mall when they were approached by the Manager of one of the chain stores.
He told police he suspected that some of his employees were using fraudulent cards at the store.
She says members quickly followed up on information and arrested two women who worked at the shop.
While members were busy with the arrest, a third suspect entered the store to make more purchases with other fraudulent cards.
All items that were allegedly bought by the employees were recovered as well as vouchers all to the value of R40 000.
Police appealed to the community to always check that they have their cards after making a purchase and to stop it immediately if they notice it is missing or stolen.
The suspects will appear in the Queenstown Magistrates court soon.
