Police are investigating a case of house robbery after an elderly woman's home was broken into in Gqeberha.
Colonel Priscilla Naidu, says the 77-year-old woman had just arrived at her home in Sleepy Hollow in Maitland Mines when three unknown men grabbed her.
Naidu says the woman was tied up and the suspects ransacked her home.
She says the men fled the scene with three TV sets in the victim's Toyota bakkie.
Naidu says the elderly woman managed to free herself and drove to her son who lives on the same property.
She says her son was not there and she was eventually assisted by her neighbour.
The woman had bruises on her face and arms and was taken to hospital for treatment.
The area falls under the Kabega Park police precinct who is investigating the robbery.
