Elderly woman stabbed in Kirkwood house robbery

Police in Kirkwood are looking for a suspect who attacked an elderly lady in her home on Wednesday morning.

Police Spokesperson Sergeant Majola Nkohli says the suspect pretended to be looking for work when he assaulted and grabbed the woman's phone in her house in Sunnybank Way.

He says a scuffle broke out and the 74-year-old was stabbed with a sharp object.

The attacker managed to grab her phone and escaped by jumping over the boundary wall.
