A 60-year-old woman is expected to appear in the Elliotdale Magistrate's Court on a murder charge on Monday, for allegedly killing a 75-year-old man with a sjambok during an argument.
Police spokesperson, Captain Zamukulungisa Jozana, says the woman spent the weekend in custody for allegedly killing the elderly man in the Mbutye area.
Jozana says the man had quarreled with her and she had hit him with the back of the sjambok, and he had died at the scene.
