An elderly Port Elizabeth woman is been treated in hospital after being injured during a robbery in her Overbakens home on Friday night.
Police spokesperson, Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg, says the 72 year old women woke up on Saturday morning to find herself lying in the passage and bleeding from a head injury.
She told police she had taken a sleeping pill around midnight and cannot remember anything that happened.
It would appear that intruders broke a window to gain access to the house and then dragged the woman into the passage before fleeing with a television set and a cellphone.
Anyone who may have information on the incident is asked to contact their nearest police station.
