Elderly man tied up and robbed in St Francis Bay home

Police are investigating a case of house robbery after an 85-year-old man was overpowered in St Francis Bay on Thursday night.

Police spokesperson, Captain Gerda Swart, says it is alleged that three suspects entered the house in Tumeric Street at about 10pm, grabbed the victim and tied him up.

She says the suspects took cellphones, a flat screen TV and fled the scene.

The victim managed to untie himself and notify SAPS.

Swart says no arrests have been made yet, but detectives are following up on all possible leads.
