An elderly man is in critical condition in a Mossel Bay hospital after he was attacked and robbed on his farm outside Great Brak River.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Lauriane Botha, said the incident is believed to have occurred on Sunday.
She said the man, who lived alone, was found by a neighbour on Monday, with whom he had an appointment.
Botha said the neighbour found the garage and back door open and upon further inspection, he found the critically injured man in his seventies inside the house.
She said his white Opel Astra is still missing.
Botha said police are not sure how many suspects were involved.
She said Great Brak River police are investigating a case of house robbery.
