An 82-year-old man who was attacked by two large dogs in East London has died.
Police were informed on Saturday by the victim's son-in-law that he had passed on.
The incident was caught on a security camera in Stirling last Friday.
The two Rhodesian Ridgebacks reportedly escaped from their yard when the owner was reversing out of the driveway.
They attacked the elderly man repeatedly before the gates opened and they were let back in the yard.
At the request of the owners, both dogs were euthanised after the attack
Before the man's death, police confirmed that they were investigating a case under the Animal Matters Amendment Act, however, the charge has now been changed to culpable homicide.
Police spokesperson Colonel Priscilla Naidu says the docket will be taken to the senior public prosecutor for decision.
