Elderly Knysna woman dies after being hit by a truck

A 73-year-old woman from Knysna was killed after she was hit by a truck on Friday afternoon.

Police spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies says it is alleged that the woman and her husband were crossing Main Street when she was hit by the vehicle.

He says the woman died at the scene, while her husband and the truck driver, who sustained injuries, were taken to hospital for medical treatment.

Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
