Elderly couple attack in Port Elizabeth home

An Elderly couple were attacked inside their Westering home in Port Elizabeth today.

Police Spokesperson Captain Sandra Janse van Rensburg says the 88-year-old man and his 86-year old wife were both assaulted and the wife tied up.

The man later managed to free his wife and alert a security company to their Boschof street home.

Janse van Rensburg says the suspect stole a TV set and is still at large.

The elderly couple was taken to the Life St George's hospital in a stable condition.
