Police in East London are investigating a case of house robbery after three armed suspects robbed a house in Collondale early on Wednesday.
Spokesperson, Captain Hazel Mqala, said the complainant heard a commotion coming from outside her house before someone knocked on the front door just before 7 am.
Mqala said she proceeded to open the top door when a man forced it open whilst pointing a firearm towards her.
She says he was wearing a dark jacket that resembled a police uniform and introduced himself as an inspector from East London.
Mqala said the other suspects entered the house took a laptop, jewellery and bags before fleeing.
She said although no one was injured during the incident they threatened the complainant saying they would come back again.
