An East London woman is expected to appear in court today for allegedly trying to bribe a policeman to quash a case.
Captain Marais says the 43-year-old woman was arrested last month for selling liquor without a licence.
She allegedly contacted a policeman and offered him three-thousand rand to make the docket disappear.
Marais says warrant officer James Louw contacted the Organised Crime Unit and a sting operation was set up.
She was arrested yesterday and will appear in court on charges of corruption and bribery.
