EL woman beaten to death in domestic violence incident

 A 50 year-old man is due to appear in the East London Magistrate's court on Tuesday on a charge of murder.

Captain Marias says the man is alleged to have beaten his girlfriend to death during a domestic violence incident on Sunday.

The incident took place in the Nompumelelo Informal Settlement and the victim, in her mid forties, died at the scene.

Police also seized what they believe is the murder weapon.
