A 16-year-old girl from East-London was one of the three people who were killed in Friday morning's bus accident in Plettenberg Bay.
Police spokesperson, Sergeant Chris Spies says their investigation into the accident on the Robberg/Airport road is at a very early stage, and the names of the deceased will be released at a later stage.
He says preliminary investigations indicate that the passenger bus was travelling from Cape Town to East-London when the vehicle left the road and overturned.
The bus driver and two passengers were declared dead by paramedics at the scene.
Spies says 43 people were taken to various hospitals with multiple injuries, while 23 passengers were taken to the Plett Community Centre.
Police are investigating a case of culpable homicide.
