EL police arrest suspects for shopping mall robbery

Five people have been arrested at Duncan Village near East London for robbing a shopping mall late last month.

Captain Mluleki Mbi reports that two of the suspects are women in their late twenties who were employed at the mall.

They were arrested along with three men in their thirties after police followed up on a tip-off and found furniture and clothing with valued at R3 000 in their possession.

The five suspects will appear in the East London magistrate’s court soon on charges of armed robbery.
