East London police are investigating cases of murder and attempted murder, following the fatal shooting of a 68-year-old man in Lennox Street next to the North End Stadium in Milner Estate on Saturday afternoon.
Spokesperson, Capt Hazel Mqala says it is alleged that the victim was shot in the upper body, while the person believed to be his driver, was also shot and wounded in the upper body.
She says another bystander was wounded in the lower body.
The two were rushed to the nearest hospital.
Mqala says the motive for the shooting is unknown at this stage, and no arrests have yet been made.
Police are appealing to anyone with information that may assist the investigation to contact East London police.
